About
Vera Matias
As a clinical psychologist I have experience in various clinical and organizational settings. My work has involved supporting individuals facing diverse challenges, including addiction, disability, and workplace well-being. With a humanistic and integrative approach, I focus on fostering emotional healing and personal growth.
My journey with psychology
As a psychologist, my journey began with a deep fascination for human behavior that took root during my teenage years. This passion led me to pursue a master’s degree in clinical psychology, and throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse areas, including supporting individuals with addiction, children with disabilities, and providing short-term interventions in corporate settings. My commitment to personal and professional growth led me to embark on training as an integrative psychotherapist, where I’ve embraced a humanistic approach, valuing the unique experiences and strengths of each person. I’ve also fallen in love with Emotion-Focused Therapy, which has become central to my work. Guiding clients to heal by connecting with and transforming their emotions is at the heart of what I do.
